OREGON
AND WASHINGTON
THINGERS
LONG
BEACH
LOYALTY DAY PARADE
(Near Astoria)
Sunday, May 1st
Our 11th annual participation
in the Long Beach, Washington Loyalty Day
Parade is Sunday, May 2nd. This is one of the biggest gatherings
of the year for
Portland and South Western Washington Thingers. You don't need
a show car
for this small town parade. Here is a chance to show your colors
and decorate your
Thing in Red, White and Blue. This is one of the few Patriotic
Parades that stayed the course even through the lean years when
patriotism wasn't in vogue. Plus we go for pizza and hit the beach
afterward.
The northern contingent
will meet in Tumwater at Nicholby's Parking Lot off I-5 Exit 102
at 8 AM and the southern contingent will meet at the Longview/Ranier
Bridge on Oregon Highway 30 at 9AM. We would really appreciate
an Email letting us know if you are considering cruising there
with us. The Pacific Northwest Thing Association is the
sponsor and will again provide Dash Plaques for this gathering.
